General Info

Now that the season is getting underway here are some thoughts to keep in mind.

First, the water will likely be cold!! It may be a good idea to bring an extra towel just to keep extra warm.

Second, if you are not happy or are unsure of what practice group to be in feel free to change or experiment with the different groups the first week until you figure out which one works best for you.

Third, the first two weeks of swim practice are the toughest for everyone but this is especially true for first timers. We practice four times a week so the kids muscles will be tired. In addition the muscles that they will be "working out" are not the ones that are typically used in other sports. Swimming uses all the muscles in the body. There have been the occasional tear or two and while we try to avoid it it does happen. After the first two weeks things begin to get better and the swimmers start to see real improvements in their strokes and times.

Fourth, in the case of inclement weather and practice/meet cancelations we send out an email as well as a text via "rainedout". If you want to sign up for this service (it's free) you can text "ELECTRICRAYS" to 84483 or you can go to rainedout.com and search for the ELECTRICRAYS and sign up via that way.

Finally, I know it can be nerve racking for some parents and there are a lot of moving parts but if you have any questions or I can help in any way please don't hesitate to contact me! The teams email is [email protected]. My personal email is [email protected] and my cell is 678-462-6948.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming season!!
