Hello everyone,  I hope everyone is well!  I have two things I wanted to announce to everyone.  First, our team t-shirts are in!!  We will be picking them up tomorrow and should have them by practice time.  We will try to hand them out and get everyone their shirt sometime this week.  If you ordered extra we will have those as well.

Second, I have been in contact with Jason Collins with the City of Tucker.  They are fielding a City of Tucker swim team that will compete in the District on July 9th and 10th (11& over on July 9th; and 10& under on July 10th) .  This meet will be held at the Brookhaven pool with the July 9th time set for 5:30pm (warmups at 3pm) and July 10th time set for 9:30am (warm up a 8am)  We are eligible to swim our swimmers as part of the City of Tucker.  A few things though as this has a short turnaround time.

1.  Unfortunately neither Caroline, Sarah, or myself will be able to attend the meet as we will be out of town (there is a slim chance I will be able to attend the July 9th meet).  Which means that you (the parent) are responsible for getting them to the meet and back.  

2.  City of Tucker needs the meet line up by next Friday (July 2nd) which means I need to have it ready by this Thursday, July 1st. 

3.  All participants must submit a copy of their child's birth certificate (believe it or not people actually cheat at these things and lie about their child's age).  I will need this by  Thursday July 1st as well

4. You need to declare whether your child will swim for the state meet held on July 16-17 at the Cumming Aquatic Center assuming your child makes the cut.  

5.  Shirt size of any of the participants.

6.  Swimmers are eligible for 3 individual and 2 relays.  Choose only the individual events your swimmer would like to swim.  If we have enough we can field a relay or we team up with others to field the relay.   The available events include all the events that have been typically swum as part of our meet as well as the 100 free.

7.  There is a potential cost of $7 per event entered and $15 per relay.  I think the City of Tucker will cover that cost but just in case be prepared to pay it.

8.  You have to actively sign up on swimtopia to be a part of this meet.  If you do not sign up you will not be able to participate.  I am setting a deadline of this Wednesday to sign up.  That will give me a little flexibility for last minute stragglers but you will have to contact me directly to sign up.
