Electric Rays 2025 Season Banquet Recap - Please Share Photos!

Last night it was truly awesome celebrating our 2025 Electric Rays season with everyone who made it to the swim banquet and pool party! The weather cleared up for us, and we had a great crowd for a rewarding evening of awards & fun at the pool!

(See pics attached, and please text us any photos too so we can add them to the Facebook group page 2025 Electric Rays photo album and team website: 404-518-6751 (Sarah) and 404-664-1004 (Pete).)

If you were unable to attend, please reach out to Pete or Sarah to set up a time to pick up your kids' remaining ribbons and team medals. The biggest news of the night was that the Electric Rays took home some hardware this season! Back in our first home meet, every swimmer counted to eke-out a victory. Who knew that narrow win would springboard our team into an undefeated streak! We finished as runner-up in our division for our regular season dual meet record, and earned a huge trophy to show for it!! If you have the photo of the kids hoisting the trophy under the pavilion last night, please share it with us so we can add it to the website! Kudos to every member of the Electric Rays family who contributed to help make it happen!

We also recognized our ASA Championship swimmers who competed on Wednesday at Georgia Tech Aquatic Center and all did amazingly well. We had a ton of kids earn ribbons and 4 of our swimmers placed top 10 in one or more events, earning individual medals: Hayden Adams (13-14 Freestyle, 8th), Emily Barranco (15+ Backstroke, 6th), and Seda Barranco (15+ Butterfly, 9th) and Kate Nawyn (15+ 100 IM, 3rd(Bronze medal!) and Breaststroke 1st(Gold medal!)). Congratulations to all of our ASA Swimmers!

Coaches
None of the swimming success & fun would've been possible without our outstanding coaching staff! Credit to Coach P and her amazing assistant coaches working with our kids - they revolutionized practice this year, with a greater emphasis on refining strokes for each swimmer. The results showed on meet days with the abundance of kids shaving seconds off their times like never before! Last night we presented the coaches gifts to Bethany, Hazel, Seda, Ella, Ace, and a special Coach of the Year towel to Coach Elena Perrotta. Huge thank yous to our Electric Rays Coaching Staff!

Parents & Volunteers
Thank you to all parents and your support! We appreciate the time & efforts driving your kids to practices and meets throughout the season. It truly takes a group effort from everyone volunteering to operate the swim meets successfully. We owe a debt of gratitude to so many of you for your help, but specifically want to recognize a few all-stars: Nina who bravely & repeatedly took-on the role of running the bullpen, Ashley who had the computer station locked down, and Sally, Beto, & Melanie who stepped-up as timers for every meet!

Finally, we'd like to give a big thank you to our Leadership Committee members including Sarah, Chrisinda, CJ, Justin, and Pete. This group has invested tireless hours to help make our swim team a success from the pre-season, throughout the season, and beyond. We'd love to add new blood to the committee for fresh ideas and roles for next year as well. If you are interested in joining us next year behind the scenes, contact Sarah or Pete to learn more.

It's been a fun & rewarding experience for these short two months watching our kids enjoying the competition & camaraderie of summer league together, making memories to last a lifetime. Stay tuned during the off-season to our Facebook parent group page and emails for additional socials & opportunities for kids & parents to stay connected with our Electric Rays family.
